Pamicor Limited has officially commenced the Underground Development Mining Project with Asante Gold Corporation at the Bibiani Mine. The contract marks a major expansion of the company’s portfolio across West Africa.
Senior teams from both organisations attended the kick-off meeting, setting the tone for a partnership grounded in transparency, safety, and operational efficiency. The contract adds to Pamicor’s growing record of delivering world-class underground mining services as an indigenous Ghanaian operator.
A Message of immediate attention
Executive Chairman Kofi Peter Amponsah-Mensah addressed the combined team directly at the meeting, challenging every member to adopt what he called the “NET” mindset: No Excuses and Tomorrow. His message was clear: operational excellence is not achieved by waiting, but by acting with precision and accountability from day one.
The Bibiani Project brings together Pamicor’s deep expertise in underground mine development (raise boring, shaft sinking, and complex drilling operations) with Asante Gold’s established footprint in Ghana’s Western Region. Sandvik, Pamicor’s longstanding technical training partner, also publicly congratulated the team on the milestone.
Why this contract matters for Ghana’s mining sector
The Bibiani Project is more than a commercial agreement. It is a direct expression of Ghana’s growing local content agenda. Pamicor Limited was founded in 1993 with a single conviction: that Ghanaians can build and operate world-class mining services on African soil. Thirty-three years later, that conviction has been tested at scale and consistently validated.
The Minerals Commission of Ghana continues to push for greater indigenous participation across the value chain. Contracts like this one demonstrate that local expertise and global standards can coexist. In Pamicor’s case, they always have.
