PAMICOR Limited is featured in Issue 122 of Africa Outlook Magazine, published in October 2026. The profile, titled “World-Class Mining Services on African Soil”, features Chief Opportunities Executive Kofi Peter Amponsah-Mensah and traces how Pamicor grew from a civil works company founded in 1993 into a leading indigenous partner for complex underground mining.
Africa Outlook is a pan-African business magazine that profiles companies and executives across mining, construction, energy and finance. Pamicor appears in the issue’s mining section alongside Asante Gold and Galiano Gold.
Four Focus Areas Across the Mining Cycle
The feature sets out Pamicor’s four focus areas: contract mining, drilling, tailings and water treatment. The wider portfolio also covers raise boring and shaft sinking, geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations, mining equipment leasing and labour management.
Contract mining is the core of the business. In January 2026 Pamicor began an underground development mining contract with Asante Gold at Bibiani, which the article describes as a landmark for an indigenous operator. Through its joint venture with Master Drilling, Pamicor also delivers turnkey raise boring and shaft sinking.
Delivery in Ghana and Burkina Faso
The article highlights two recent projects beyond underground mining. In Burkina Faso, Pamicor handed over a reinforced-concrete TSF diversion channel at Endeavour Mining’s Houndé gold mine. In Ghana, Pamicor operates the mine-site water treatment plant at AngloGold Ashanti’s Obuasi mine, supported by technology partner PROXA.
Headquartered in Accra, the company is wholly Ghanaian-owned, fully compliant with Ghana’s local content regulations (L.I. 2431), and has a project track record that extends to Guinea.
Building Capacity at Home

Amponsah-Mensah told Africa Outlook that the question for Ghana is “no longer whether Ghanaians will run mining services, but how well they will run them.” He named capacity as the main challenge: skills, equipment, capital and safety systems.
The feature describes how Pamicor is building that capacity. A training programme with Sandvik has produced OEM-trained Ghanaian technicians, and the company works with the Mining Engineering Department of the University of Mines and Technology. In Kumasi, Pamicor is building a rock testing laboratory intended to be the only ISO-certified laboratory of its kind in Ghana, reducing the need to send samples abroad.
The NET Mindset
Africa Outlook also covers the culture behind Pamicor’s delivery. The company works to a mindset it calls NET, No Excuses and Tomorrow, which gives supervisors and crews the authority to solve problems at the face within a safety-first culture.
The article gives one example: on a recent drilling contract, Pamicor had a rig and crew on site before the contract was signed and exceeded the meterage plan in the first days.
Leaving Communities Better
Pamicor’s community programmes in Ghana and Burkina Faso focus on safe water and education, including water provision, refurbished school facilities and a school canteen for young children.

“Mining must leave communities better than it found them.”Kofi Peter Amponsah-Mensah, Chief Opportunities Executive, PAMICOR Limited
